Book Studies
The Gospel of Mark (Chapters 1-10)
In the absence of the Gospel story, we would be lacking a significant piece to the larger picture that God established.
We can live with full assurance that God has kept His word to deliver all who trust in Him.
There is
nothing as important as what the gospels tell us about Jesus Christ.
First Corinthians
Paul's letter to the Corinthians was written in response to questions and situations that
arose within the Corinthian fellowship. No part of our lives, include
our "church life" is separated from Jesus Christ. This letter celebrates the
centrality of Christ in the local assembly.
Galatians
Paul's message to the church is emphatic: Justification is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
To our everlasting shame, today's church has separated the great doctrine of positional justification from her
present sanctification and her ultimate glorification. Salvation, and all of its components, is indivisibly linked.
One cannot separate the parts without destroying the whole. Journey with Paul as he expounds these truths to the
Galatians, and ultimate unto the modern church.
First Thessalonians
Can a lapse of faith and an expression of unbelief on our part negate the work that God begun?
God is faithful. His faithfulness is not contingent on our ability to perform.
God's grace is sufficient for the sustaining of His suffering people.
This is the message shouted by the apostle Paul to the suffering Thessalonian church.
Second Thessalonians
In Second Thessalonians, the apostle Paul seeks to encourage and comfort the persecuted believers
by setting forth the person of Christ. In so doing, he assists the church in "Finding Peace in the Midst of the Storm."
The Storyline of the Bible
The Storyline of the Bible
The entire Bible, from beginning to end, tells of one singular story.
This eight part Advent series is an attempt to view the Bible from a panoramic perspective.
It is an attempt to gather the largest wide-angle representation possible of who God is
and what He is doing and where this leads us as subjects under His rule.
Waiting for His Arrival and the Storyline of the Bible
Advent is a preparatory season. It has significance because it is a season of looking forward and waiting
for something greater, both for the annual celebration of the event of Christ's birth and for the time when
Christ will come again. This story is spoken of throughout the biblical narrative from creation to the future kingdom.
This six part Advent series is a broad look at the story of our King Jesus whose arrival
who we are still awaiting, and yet He is already here.
Reflecting on His Work and the Storyline of the Bible
The church has historically followed the storyline of Scripture by marking Advent, Lent and Pentecost.
Lent is a time to remember and reflect on the work of Jesus Christ - His vicarious, voluntary and
victorious provision on our behalf. Enter into the story of God. Reflect on the magnitude of his sacrifice
for you. Celebrate the victory His resurrection brought.
Laboring in His Legacy and the Storyline of the Bible
Jesus left his disciples with a legacy -- to spread the gospel to every tongue, tribe, people and nation.
This mission was empowered on Pentecost, when the disciples were indwelled by the Holy Spirit.
Our legacy today is the same -- to spread the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit.

What If It Does Not Work?
God promises rest...yet we live in turmoil. What do we do when it seems as if God does not deliver on
His promises. We must learn to find rest in His finished work.

When Winter Comes
When we find ourselves struggling spiritually or emotionally, how are we to find comfort and rest?
The issue is to make sure we understand what is happening in our lives from the perspective of God
and not from that of our circumstances or feelings. This study addresses four areas as they relate to our winter seasons.
Joining Jesus in the Wilderness
Often we take our relationship with God for granted and forget to cultivate it.

the way Jesus celebrated His relationship with His Father during His time in the wilderness.

to measure up to God's standard, then this study is for you. In Christ, we are free from the penalty and power of sin and someday we will be free from the presence of sin.

The Way of His Cross
The Church calendar provokes Christians to see their lives as a part of God's story.
In Advent, the Christian celebrates the Hero's arrival in fulfillment of promise and picture.
In Pentecost, the Christian recognizes and affirms the Hero's legacy in and through His Church.

Meditations on the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord's
Table is a means of remembering and celebrating the power of the cross as a past fact (i.e. justification), a present reality (i.e. sanctification), and a future hope (i.e. glorification).
This sermon series reflects on the deep meaning of the Communion Service.
