Pederson
John & Kathie Pederson

The Pedesons spent 12 years in Venezuela with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) before returning to the U.S. to mobilize others to reach the least, the last, and the lost. John serves in mobilization with STEM (Short-term Evangelical Missions) recruiting, training, and leading mission teams. Kathie is a trainer/team leader with STEM as well as teaching and mentoring at Bethany College of Missions. STEM sends Short-Term Teams to Unreached People Groups in Restricted-Access Nations in what is known as the 10/40 window where 2 billion people (mostly Muslim, Hindu and Buddhists) have no access to the gospel.

John served as President of STEM Share (restricted-access nations) from 2006-2009. His passion is networking and involving others in the “task remaining” to impact Unreached People Groups with the Hope of Christ. Kathie has taught at Oak Hills Christian College (Bemidji, MN) and the Leech Lake Tribal College (Cass Lake, MN). Her evangelistic heart is always looking for creative ways such as mime or drama to communicate the timeless message of Jesus to the nations.

In 2008 STEM became a ministry of Bethany International, a Mission agency in Bloomington, MN serving in 25 countries. Bethany International also partners with more than 100 international Mission Training Schools as well as establishing Bethany College of Missions to outfit the next generation for missions. John & Kathie currently serve on the Bethany campus in Bloomington, MN.
